once again, a list to whet your appetite:
1. i am beginning to mellow about the upcoming school year. today mom, blake, and i were very successful in the cleaning portion of starting up a classroom. you would not believe the kind of junk, dust, and dirt that accumulates over a 30 year period! (the teacher before me had been in the same room for 30 years...literally...he had apparently never cleaned.) needless to say, we arrived home dirty, exhausted, and PROUD.
2. we are once again headed out! i feel like i haven't been home (truly "home") for ages!!! we are going to the family homestead in princeton, kentucky, to visit my mom's parents for a couple of days. the farmhouse is beautiful, i haven't seen my grandparents in a while, and it will be nice to relax in such a quiet and peaceful place...buuuut...i have so much to do here!!! we spent this past weekend with blake's parents in sylacauga (friday was spent in montevallo with margot, nathan, logan, & ZAPOPAN!!!)...it was lovely and i finally had a full night's sleep. when we get home on thursday we will be here until the first weekend of august, so i have a chunk of time to get things ready.
3. the wedding planning is humming along and at a stand-still at the same time. i am still working and thinking and daydreaming... however, it is difficult to be "productive" without names and addresses from parents, ect. fortunately for me i have facebook and several friends' guest lists to aid me in my quests... as for the rest, patience is a virtue.
anyway, gonna head to bed ("bedtime for bonzos" is what my parents have always said around here) and hopefully pack before i sleep. pray please.
