this...

...just in...

so there are lots of funny stories to tell & i promise i am going to tell them. i tried the other day but it's really not complete without the pictures and our camera was being tempermental with the computer in sylacauga...

today in the mail we found a cd of pictures from my dear friend (& sorority sister), jessica smith wright. she took our engagement pictures and is just such a lovely person. more than anything, we enjoy spending time with her and she somehow makes the process seem like less of a chore. i asked her to take pictures of blake and me when we saw eachother in the small chapel before the wedding. it was going to just be her and my sister...very special and personal to have those 2 people be the only witnesses. it didn't work out that way, but having her at the wedding was everything i thought it would be. she was a smiling face in the room...supportive, loving, and beautiful. honestly, i was very unaware by the photographer/videographer/friends taking pictures...i don't remember thinking about it all day...exactly what i was hoping. to be so "in" the moment that everything else faded away. i remember everything my daddy said to me, everything my mom said, my grandparents' words of love and wisdom, and other random comments throughout the day. not to mention BLAKE.
the pictures jess took completely capture the day. they are honestly the best ones i've seen...even better than those that our official photographer took. i knew she "got me" and that she would be perfect for that special moment. huge understatement...i was right. i'm just glad that our offical photographer didn't get in her way (because that's honestly the way i was thinking of it...)
i've chosen just a couple...but there are dozens of "beauts".
love to all...off to cook supper for my hubby and RACHI & WALTER!!!

you both cannot know what a privilege it was for me to be a part of your wedding day. i teared up when i was going through your pictures because you have such a deep, rich, sweet relationship that is so evident. thank you, a million times over, for letting me witness your sweet wedding. i am so happy for you both.
