...for things to be too good to be true?...
We might have actually done it. We both walked in and thought, "wow"...
...hang on, let me give you a little back story on this...Blake and I have been house-hunting for about 3 weeks now (ever since we got our jobs) in Decatur. We (over the course of these 3 long weeks) have been from the elated end of things to our new all time low of yesterday's despair.
To put it plainly, we were not happy and felt as if a rain cloud would continue to follow us...logically we knew that it wouldn't happen that way & realistically we still kept the faith that it all would eventually work out. We just felt so defeated yesterday (outside factors contributed to this heavily) and it took us until after we had a family dinner with my beautiful, loving, supportive, and humorous parents (not to mention a game of Scrabble where I whooped butt!) to perk up a little.
Today we went to Decatur and saw our classrooms (mine is huge, beautiful, and 1950s old-school...Blake's is comfy, well-stocked, and 1970s cool) and then put on our hopeful faces to meet a new realtor in Madison. We drove around the other day and randomly saw a cute little house that we kinda liked. We called the realtor on the flier and set up an appointment. Anyway, we saw a couple of things that just might work...neither of us hated them and that was a first! We didn't see a house that Blake had found online but we set up a meeting to do that tonight...
...back to my story: we LOVE it and want to make an offer. It has just enough for us to do to make it feel like our home, but not so much that it will be an enormous time waster. We can picture our selves and our stuff there and I can't wait for house-guests!
