vacation...

...is "almost" here. (but not close enough)

the picture below is from college night (in february)...we were pulling into Montevallo & you can see our excitement. it was like going home...to the place where "WE" began.
the end of our first official year of teaching is coming rapidly to a close. i have NINE school days left before exams...which means there are 14 days of school left for teachers before summer.
it is almost unbelievable. the year has quite literally flown by. last year at this time, blake and i were preparing resumes, job-hunting/interviewing, planning a wedding (and newly engaged), and house-hunting. we are entering the summer of 2008 as employed home-owners newly married. we are anxiously looking forward to a summer of "nothing". realizing that we will be painting my classroom, working on lessons/organization for school, setting up our house, and travelling..."nothing" is going to get busy fast. but we'll get to do things at our own pace and with each other...i couldn't ask for anything more. :)

life around our little house of dreams is deliciously mundane. we've been carpooling which means we begin and end each day of work with 30 minutes of togetherness in the car. the rest of our life is filled with cooking, chores, television, quality time, being outside, love, and laughter.

i feel beyond blessed to be mrs. augustus blake harvard!!!
the picture is a site we see quite often on the way to or from work...a field that we pass every day. our drive is quite scenic and rarely boring.

p.s. exciting news to come as soon as it's official. :)
{NO...no babies on the horizon any time soon...geez louise!}

p.s. may 3rd marked blake's and my 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY (of when we started dating / our first kiss)
