sleepy: it's 6 o'clock on a monday, need i say more?
grumpy: i have a LOT of work to do tonight...and my head kinda aches
sneezy: my sinuses are acting up again & ever since i worked on saturday (at the pb) i have been sneezing like crazy. blast those candles and their scents!
doc: when i'm teaching it feels like nothing else...the kids are looking to me for wisdom & even if i'm not 100% sure about my answers to their random and weird questions, i give it my best shot. if i'm sure i don't know, i tell them i will look it up & then i do. they learn something, i learn something, and we've made a connection. it's a win-win-win.
bashful: i'm being observed for the first time sometime this week. (either tuesday or wednesday) we got observed all the time in grad school & their evaluations are tough!...so i'm not so much worried about the technical aspects...but it's been a long time since someone else was in my room & i haven't gotten any feedback lately. i'm feeling rather shy.
happy: life is good. i am blessed with fabulous family, a wonderful fiance', wonderful friends, and just in general, a good life. i am grateful every day for what i have & i work hard not to take things or people for granted. PLUS the new shopping center is opening this thursday so we'll have all the b'ham stores i left behind. jcrew & anthropologie, here i come!
dopey: ...i hope it's normal for a teacher's brain to shut off at 4ish in the afternoon...i just hope it turns itself back on after supper so i can get some work done! :)
the bad news? things don't always go as planned or hoped or expected... the table and chairs we picked up saturday were scratched & broken. bummer...but they will replace and deliver new ones no extra charge.
the good news? even snow white got to wake up and start over. and she was in a poison-apple-induced-coma! every day starts off with a clean slate and a new piece of chalk. "you either have to laugh it off or sweat it out" (my babaloo says that) and i much prefer to laugh it off. even the little things are funny & God puts them there for the express purpose of bringing us daily joyfulness. God has to have a sense of humor! i'm thankful that He does and He gave me one as well. :)
okay, i'm off to sit on the couch until supper and then get to work. woo-hoo.

Hey, I hate that we didn't get to talk! I'm so sorry I harassed you at work. We were wondering if you guys are free next Saturday? We were hoping to come up and make some plans, if'n you weren't doing anything!
