i'm...

...ecstatic, in love, content, restless, sleepy, frustrated, "blue", thankful...

since i wrote last not much has happened and yet a lot has happened.

on the 5th, blake & i drove up to nashville to spend the day with steph, allen, & wrigley. (our newtons) it was fantastic! we spent a little time at cool springs mall & then the rest of the time relaxing at their house just enjoying time together. steph is pregnant with a new little "niece" (addison jean) for blake and me and she looks beautiful as ever. when we left...too soon...i felt restored. we will definitely be making that drive more often, it is simply good for my soul to see steph & fam.

the week after was possibly one of the most stressful and scary in my life. to leave out specifics...a very close family member had to go in for some medical tests that could have had some major results. we spent at least 4 days waiting and then NOTHING! it was all "okay"... talk about a blessing! we were all extremely relieved and very grateful.

last thursday my dear friend/mentor coach smith came and took me on a date for lunch! it was marvelous and i loved every second of it!

last saturday i spent the day with my friend tricia who is planning her wedding (in april) and we worked on wedding stuff and ran errands. it was fun. i enjoyed planning our wedding & still love all of the details that go into a wedding...if i could do that professionally, watch out! mix in a little painting, beading, and crafting...BAM...dream job!

that night we went to the Sunrise Sunday school (mom & daddy's s.s. class...they are basically family) Christmas party and got to have church pot luck for supper and then play dirty santa with christmas ornaments. PLUS trivial pursuit. it was a LOT of fun!

this week has been uneventful except for family dinners & time with friends. our days are filled with quiet time at home...jokes...wheel of fortune...holiday cheer. i have gotten the christmas cards together, addressed, stamped, and mailed. we are almost finished with christmas shopping and i have been crafty with gifts for all of "our babies" (the "nieces" & "nephew"). i am proud of what i've made & i hope to make this a tradition. i don't want to ruin the surprise, but after christmas i'll be sure to tell you all about it. :)

yesterday i had a wonderful lunch date with tricia & last night had a girls night OI (out&in) with leslie...today i am a little blue...won't say much, but will say this... as blake says, i love "hard". my friends are important to me & therefore are a major priority in my life. it was easy when we were all together in school...now it takes "work" to stay in touch and get together. i am more than willing to put in the effort because let's face it, these people are more than friends, they are family...it just hurts a bit when i am not important enough to fit in to other people's plans or lives. even still...i am blessed to have every single one of them & will simply get over myself.

today i am leaving work at 2:30 (in 2 hours!!) and we are heading to B'ham. tonight we'll spend the evening with jess & family (SO EXCITED!!! like my visit with steph...this is something i need to do for my health/sanity & have been looking forward to forever!) saturday morning will take us to sylacauga for the Harvard Family Christmas! Overall, a very exciting weekend planned...

such a long post...will be adding pictures once we're home & then will hopefully have less to say ;)

yeah...the family member (we can talk about it in person...not over the internet) swore me to secrecy until we knew anything. by then we were just so relieved we didn't want to talk about it anymore. know what i mean? i'll tell you all about it later. :) SO glad we got to really talk the other day on the phone.
